Haematology is the medical specialty focused on the diagnosis and treatment of disorders affecting the blood and blood-forming tissues. Patients experiencing conditions such as anaemia, white blood cell disorders, platelet abnormalities, coagulation disorders, thrombophilia, bleeding disorders, lymphadenopathy (enlarged lymph nodes), or splenomegaly (enlarged spleen) should consult a Haematologist for further investigation, accurate diagnosis, and specialised treatment.
The role of a Haematologist is equally important in the evaluation and management of women with a history of recurrent miscarriages.
